Job Description: Structural Draftsman cum BIM Modeller **Location:** Chennai or Navi Mumbai **Experience:** Minimum 5 Years **Employment Type:** Full-time About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Draftsman cum BIM Modeller to join our growing team in Chennai or Navi Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in structural drafting and 3D BIM modelling, particularly in infrastructure projects such as bridges, metros, and other transport-related structures. You will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings, reinforcement detailing, and bar bending schedules (BBS), working across both steel and RCC structures. Key Responsibilities · Prepare detailed structural drawings for bridges, viaducts, metro stations, and similar infrastructure. · Develop accurate 3D BIM models using industry-standard software such as Revit or Tekla. · Generate reinforcement detailing and bar bending schedules in accordance with project specifications and standards. · Coordinate with design engineers to understand and implement design intent. · Ensure compliance with relevant codes (IS, IRC, Eurocodes, etc.). · Maintain and update drawing records, logs, and revision history. · Assist in clash detection, quantity take-off, and documentation in BIM workflows. · Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (structural, architectural, MEP) to deliver integrated models. Required Skills and Qualifications · Diploma or Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or related field. · 5+ years of experience in structural drafting and BIM modelling for infrastructure projects. · Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and preferably Tekla Structures or similar BIM tools. · Strong knowledge of reinforcement detailing and bar bending schedule (BBS) preparation. · Experience working with both RCC and steel structures. · Familiarity with BIM execution plans and workflows. · Ability to read and interpret structural and construction drawings independently. · Good communication and coordination skills. Preferred Background · Prior experience in metro rail, highway bridges, rail overbridges, or infrastructure EPC/consulting firms. · Understanding of BIM Level 2 standards and collaborative platforms like BIM 360.
