QA Automation Engineer (Manual & Playwright)

Job Overview :
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer with strong expertise in both Manual and Automation Testing. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the high quality and performance of our web applications. You will write and execute manual test cases while actively designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites using Playwright.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Strategy & Planning: Review functional/non-functional requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to create clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Manual Testing: Perform functional, regression, integration, usability, and smoke testing on web applications. Identify, record, document, and track bugs thoroughly using issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Automation Testing (Playwright): Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable automated test scripts using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript or Python).
• Integrate Playwright test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).Execute automated tests for continuous regression testing and analyze execution results.
• Collaboration & Delivery: Work closely with cross-functional teams (Software Developers, Product Managers, and DevOps) to identify system requirements and resolve quality issues.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Requirements & Qualifications
Core Automation Tool: Hands-on experience with Playwright for web application testing. Programming Languages: Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python for writing automation scripts.

• Manual Testing Skills: Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes (STLC/SDLC).
• API Testing: Experience testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, Bruno, or Playwright API testing capabilities.
• CI/CD & Version Control: o Familiarity with Git/GitHub/GitLab for version control. o Basic experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
• Problem Solving: Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and bug-reporting skills.
• Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills to articulate testing progress and software quality metrics clearly.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with cross-browser and mobile responsive testing.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., k6, JMeter).
• Familiarity with Docker or cloud-based testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).

Pay: Up to ₹240,000.00 per year
