Job Description

As a Software Engineer working with one of the top Australian banks to modernize their data and analytics platform, your role will involve collaborating with IT and business stakeholders in the Data and Platform team to implement the bank's data strategy towards becoming the leading AI bank globally. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement robust, scalable software solutions. - Develop automation frameworks for performance, integration, security, and testing. - Embed unit, integration, and contract tests into CI/CD pipelines following a shift-left approach. - Collaborate with teams to ensure testability, observability, and resilience. - Drive quality strategy and establish engineering dashboards for delivery and production health. Qualifications Required: - 4-7 years of hands-on programming and software development experience. - Proficiency in programming languages, specifically Python. - Experience with Data & Processing tools like AWS Glue, PySpark, and Spark. - Familiarity with Workflow Orchestration tools such as Airflow. - Knowledge of Database & Querying technologies including SQL, RDBMS (Teradata, Oracle). - Experience in Cloud technologies, particularly AWS cloud-native architectures. - Expertise in Automation & AI technologies like test automation frameworks and AI-assisted development. - Additional skills in CI/CD tools (TeamCity, GitHub, Jenkins, Octopus), Linux environments, and DevSecOps practices. - Proven ability to design and build automation frameworks. - Understanding of observability tools and microservices architecture. In addition to the mandatory skills, nice-to-have skills include knowledge of the Markets domain.,
