Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Purchase Manager with a strong background in procurement for a manufacturing organization. The candidate should have hands-on experience in sourcing, purchasing, vendor development, price negotiations, and procurement of various industrial and manufacturing materials.

The ideal candidate should be capable of ensuring timely availability of quality materials at competitive prices while maintaining effective vendor relationships and optimum inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for manufacturing requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Handle procurement of materials such as:
• Aluminium sheets, aluminium profiles and sections.
• MS pipes, tubes and other mild steel materials.
• Polycarbonate (PC) sheets.
• PVC rolls and related materials.
• Fabric and textile materials.
• Other industrial and production-related raw materials.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, credit periods and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Obtain and compare quotations and prepare comparative statements.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials as per production and project requirements.
• Monitor purchase orders, deliveries and material quality.
• Coordinate with production, stores, accounts and other departments.
• Develop alternative vendors to ensure uninterrupted material supply.
• Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain proper purchase records, vendor databases and documentation.
• Ensure materials are procured as per approved specifications and quality standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in purchase/procurement, preferably in a manufacturing organization.
• Strong experience in procurement of aluminium sheets/profiles, MS pipes, PC sheets, PVC rolls and fabric materials.
• Good knowledge of industrial raw materials, suppliers and market pricing.
• Proven experience in vendor management and price negotiations.
• Good understanding of purchase orders, inventory management and procurement processes.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/accounting software.
