Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of civil construction materials as per project requirements.
• Source and evaluate vendors for materials such as cement, steel, aggregates, bricks/blocks, RMC, tiles, sanitaryware, hardware, and finishing materials.
• Obtain quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and commercial conditions.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely material delivery at project sites.
• Coordinate with Project, Site, Stores, Accounts and Engineering teams to understand material requirements.
• Develop and maintain a strong vendor network and evaluate vendor performance.
• Compare quotations and prepare comparative statements (CS) for management approval.
• Monitor material prices, market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Ensure procurement is carried out as per approved BOQ, specifications, budgets and project timelines.
• Track pending orders, deliveries and resolve issues related to quality, quantity and supply.
• Maintain proper procurement records, vendor documentation and purchase reports.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of civil construction materials and procurement processes.
• Good understanding of BOQ, rate analysis, specifications and project requirements.
• Strong vendor development and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement/ERP systems.
• Good coordination, communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple project requirements and meet tight deadlines.

Qualification

B.Tech/B.E./Diploma in Civil Engineering or relevant qualification.

Candidates with experience in construction, infrastructure and large-scale civil projects.
