Purchase Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Position Skill Requirement-

Supplier Control:

• Responsible to select qualified, high-quality suppliers for machine parts coordinate with QC and WP team to arrange the material quality inspections.
• Respond promptly to non-conformance reports from QC and WP, and take necessary actions such as return or replacement of goods.
• Monitor and manage suppliers delivering non-conforming materials, and enforce corrective actions as per contract terms.

Price control:

• Need compare at least 2-3 quotations before contract sign.
• Refer to ERP price and cannot beyond history price.
• Sign the Price Agreement with the long-term cooperation supplier, defined there is a market competitive price or discount.

Delivery time control

• Manage and Negotiate with the supplier delivery time according to Project requirement.
• Manage and control the supplier which cannot delivery on time, and take necessary measures according to contract terms.

Payment term control

• Negotiate with supplier about payment term, reduce the amount of advance payment suppliers and prepaid amount proportion.
• For monthly payment supplier, ask extend the time of payment days.

After-sales service and cooperation degree control

• Coordinate suppliers to cooperate with other departments, including technology communication, product introduction, delivery requirements, etc.
• Fast response to after-sales problems, coordinate suppliers to find solution.

COST CONTROL

Project material cost

• Control the purchase cost according to M03/04.
• Compare and negotiate the price with several suppliers.
• Refer to the history price from ERP.

CO-OPRATION-

• Active to report the work status and progress to DM on a regular basis.
• Actively cooperate with project team, according to project planning to complete the purchase task on time.
• Cooperate with QC about solve the unqualified product, manage and correct the supplier to achieve Gefit quality requirement.
• Coordinate the supplier to communicate with TD about technology selection, use of new product and technical service requirement etc.
• Cooperate with WP for the management and control of any incompliance of the received goods, with AFD for invoice settlement and supplier payment related work.

Preferred candidate profile

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Special Purpose Machine and Assembly lines experience preferable.
• Strong leadership and decision-making ability
• Knowledge about MS office, Excel, ERP/SAP
• 5 S Knowledge
