Role Mission:

The Public Relations Manager will be responsible for leading our brand through PR across our established and growing regions. In this role, the Public Relations Executive/Manager will focus on developing strategic plans to increase positive news coverage in all current regions, new regions and nationally. The Public Relations Executive/Manager will report to CEO along with marketing Team to achieve team goals.

Increase year over year positive brand recognition in each of the regions we serve through positive media coverage:

  • Serve as our brand internal reporter learning newsworthy happenings throughout the country.
  • Develop a media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast, and online media.
  • Identify, develop, and cultivate relationships with, and pitch weekly stories to media in established and new regions.
  • Secure a total of 480 quality stories across all regions pitched by company in current, new, and national media outlets.
  • Focusing on more positive media in regions where our brand isn’t as established such as
  • Securing quality national stories that position leaders as subject matter experts.
  • Increase our brand reputation and voice nationally and regionally by securing no less than two op-eds per regions and two nationally, totaling 20 op-eds for the 22-23 fiscal year.

Public Relations:

  • Manage PR and media relations across all regions and nationally, oversee and manage partnerships with PR firms, and serve as the liaison for our blog sponsorships and partnerships, meeting the outlined brand recognition through positive media coverage.
  • Manage relationship with media monitoring service, Meltwater, and our year over year contracts.
  • Represent our brand in regional and national media opportunities, manage regional media events, and craft documents (press releases, media alerts, op-eds, etc.) for external distribution
  • Provide media prep documents and media prep meeting for our team members that are going to be interviewed by media members.

Media Relations:

  • Daily monitoring of media calls, requests, and inquiries
  • Daily distribution of our media report
  • Weekly distribution of our communications and media overview
  • Provide daily updates to our newsroom
  • Develop yearly press kit for media members
  • Quarterly positive media booklets for Board of Director meetings

Support Director of External Communications with identifying and cultivating relationships with national media contacts:

  • Use department tools to research media contacts who cover topics of interest for top-tier publications such as The Washington Post and Huffington Post.
  • Create profile sheets for each contact based on their most recent coverage to inform pitch strategy for each person.
  • Monitor identified reporters story activity and actively engage to develop report
  • Send identified contacts our press kits.
  • Support Director of External Communications with national pitches.

Decrease year over year negative brand recognition in each region and nationally:

  • Develop and implement crisis communications advice and media strategy, as needed
  • Draft crisis media statements for members of the media
  • Edit crisis letters and messaging for campuses, when needed
  • Provide media recaps that include the number, reach and value of negative stories, when needed

Ensure 100% accuracy on our website by maintaining the external-facing content.

  • Host quarterly content audits
  • Partner with web development team on maintaining a 100% accurate website
  • Update within 24 hours of notice
  • Our main website that reaches 100,000 people each month. The public relations manager will partner with the creative services manager to develop, implement and manage the following webpages:
  • Newsroom
  • Communities
  • Our Approach
  • About Our Company
  • Events webpage

Assist the Communications Team with other duties as needed:

  • Social Media Management, when needed
  • Blog writing, when needed
  • Event production, when needed
  • Influencers Management, when needed

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹203,758.00 - ₹537,618.00 per year
