Role Description We are looking for a WordPress Developer Intern to join our team at Prolync . This is a 3-month remote, unpaid internship . Based on your performance and our team’s requirements , you may be moved to a stipend-based internship after the initial period. As an intern, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining dynamic websites using WordPress. You will collaborate closely with the design, development, and marketing teams to build responsive, SEO-friendly, and secure websites . You will also handle front-end and back-end development , payment gateway integrations , SMTP configurations , plugin customization , API integrations , and troubleshooting to ensure smooth functionality across all devices. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites with modern, responsive layouts. Integrate payment gateways such as Razorpay, Stripe, and PayPal. Configure and manage SMTP email servers for seamless communications. Customize and develop WordPress themes and plugins based on project needs. Optimize websites for SEO, performance, and security . Implement API integrations and manage third-party service connections. Handle database operations and ensure smooth back-end performance. Keep WordPress, themes, and plugins updated while ensuring compatibility. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve website-related issues. Work closely with the design and marketing teams to deliver user-friendly solutions . Qualifications Strong knowledge of WordPress (core, themes, plugins, hooks, filters, REST API). Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP . Familiarity with MySQL database management . Experience in payment gateway integration and SMTP configuration . Understanding of API integrations and webhooks Knowledge of responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility . Basic understanding of SEO optimization and website security best practices . Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Additional Skills Knowledge of WooCommerce and e-commerce setups. Familiarity with cPanel, domain management, and DNS configurations . Experience with Git or other version control systems. Understanding of basic hosting and server management .
