Job Summary
Wizpro Technovations LLP is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Project Manager to lead machine vision and industrial automation projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing projects from customer requirement gathering and planning through execution, installation, commissioning, and final handover.
The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in machine vision and industrial automation, along with excellent project management, team leadership, customer coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end machine vision and industrial automation projects, ensuring timely delivery within the defined scope, budget, and quality standards.
- Understand customer requirements, coordinate technical discussions, and ensure the delivery of suitable technical solutions.
- Prepare project plans, schedules, milestones, resource allocation plans, and execution strategies.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, software development, installation, sales, and pre-sales.
- Oversee the integration and deployment of machine vision systems, cameras, lenses, lighting, PLCs, and other automation components.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for mechanical mountings, special-purpose machines (SPMs), electrical panels, HMIs, and related project components.
- Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization at customer sites.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, resource utilization, risks, and technical issues, implementing corrective actions wherever required.
- Coordinate with sales and pre-sales teams on project costing, budgeting, and tender-related technical inputs.
- Maintain project documentation, progress reports, trial reports, technical manuals, and handover documents.
- Manage customer communication, stakeholder expectations, escalations, and project reviews.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- BE in Electronics, Instrumentation, or Electrical Engineering.
- 8–9 years of relevant experience in machine vision, industrial automation, or related engineering projects.
- Proven experience in project planning, execution, coordination, and delivery.
- Strong understanding of machine vision systems, cameras, optics, lighting, and industrial automation applications.
- Familiarity with machine vision platforms such as Cognex, Keyence, HALCON, OpenCV, or equivalent technologies.
- Knowledge of PLCs, control panels, electrical systems, mechanical fabrication, and automation integration.
- Experience in team management, vendor coordination, project costing, risk management, and resource planning.
- Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, decision-making, and client-handling skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites for project reviews, installation, and commissioning as required.
