Job Title: Head of eCommerce β Marketplaces β Entrepreneur in Residence Location: [Gurugram, India] Reports To: Founder Categories β Beauty and Accessories Experience Required: 8β12 years in eCommerce with strong marketplace experience Industry: eCommerce / Retail / D2C / Consumer Goods Role Overview: We are looking for a strategic and execution-focused Head of eCommerce β Marketplaces to drive revenue growth across leading Indian eCommerce platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, and others. This role is responsible for developing a high-impact marketplace strategy, managing marketplace P&Ls, and leading a team to optimize visibility, sales, and profitability across all digital storefronts. Key Responsibilities: Marketplace Strategy & Revenue Growth: β’β β Own and drive marketplace business strategy and execution across Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, AJIO, Tata Cliq, and others. β’β β Manage full P&L for all marketplace channels. β’β β Define sales targets, marketing budgets, discounting strategies, and category expansion plans. Platform Relationship Management: β’β β Build strong partnerships with category managers and marketplace account teams. β’β β Negotiate marketing slots, promotions, and joint business plans (JBPs). β’β β Ensure compliance with platform policies and leverage platform programs (e.g., Amazon Prime, Myntra Moves, etc.). Listings, Merchandising & Visibility: β’β β Optimize product listings, content, SEO, keywords, and A+ content to improve discoverability and conversions. β’β β Coordinate with design and cataloging teams to ensure accurate and visually compelling listings. β’β β Plan seasonal merchandising calendars and manage pricing, promotions, and stock allocations. Performance Marketing on Marketplaces: β’β β Oversee performance ads (Amazon Sponsored Ads, Flipkart Ads, Myntra M-Ads, etc.) to drive traffic and conversions. β’β β Continuously monitor campaign performance and ROAS; optimize spending for efficiency and sales. Operations & Fulfillment: β’β β Coordinate with supply chain and operations teams to ensure on-time delivery and inventory health. β’β β Manage fill rates, returns, and order fulfillment for each platform. β’β β Implement stock planning tools and collaborate on replenishment forecasting. Analytics & Insights: β’β β Use tools like Seller Central, Flipkart Seller Hub, Myntra Partner Portal, etc. to track sales, margins, returns, and reviews. β’β β Generate actionable insights to improve performance and customer experience. β’β β Monitor competition and identify emerging trends, pricing gaps, and category opportunities. Team Management: β’β β Lead and grow a high-performing eCommerce operations and marketplace team. β’β β Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, tech, customer service, and finance teams. Key Qualifications: β’β β Graduate/Postgraduate with 8+ years of experience in eCommerce marketplace management. β’β β Deep knowledge of Indian marketplaces and seller ecosystems. β’β β Strong understanding of marketplace metrics, analytics, algorithm dynamics, and category performance levers. β’β β Experience in scaling a marketplace business from βΉ50 Cr+ to βΉ200 Cr+ GMV is a plus. β’β β Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills. β’β β Proficiency in Excel, analytics dashboards, and marketplace tools. Preferred Background: β’β β Experience in fashion, beauty, personal care, electronics, FMCG, or consumer brands. β’β β Exposure to both B2C and D2C marketplace strategies Show more Show less
