Job Description

As a Backend Software Engineer at Wayfair, you will be a part of the Fulfillment Optimization team, responsible for building platforms that optimize how customer orders are fulfilled to enhance Wayfair's profitability and customer satisfaction. Your key responsibilities will include: - Enhancing and scaling customer-facing platforms to provide accurate fulfillment information on Wayfair websites - Maintaining an accurate representation of the dynamic supply chain and predicting how products will fit into boxes, flow through warehouses, and reach customers - Surfacing information for customers to make informed decisions and for suppliers and carriers to execute promises efficiently - Working on milliseconds scale to ensure smooth operations thousands of times per second To be successful in this role, you should have: - 2+ years of product management experience, preferably with software platforms - 1+ years of foundational understanding of software technologies, with experience in accelerating deployment patterns - Experience in developing or influencing standards related to access management, asset provisioning, and governance processes - Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and decision-making - Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences - Passion for creating customer-centric products and measuring their effectiveness through clear KPIs - Ability to collaborate effectively across stakeholder groups, prioritize work based on impact, and work in an agile environment - Familiarity with Google Cloud and its data offerings is a plus At Wayfair, you will be part of a company that is reinventing the way people shop for their homes, with a commitment to industry-leading technology and creative problem-solving.
