Hiring: Product Manager / Product Owner – E-Invoicing

Location: HSR Layout, Bangalore, India
Employment Type: Full-Time

Travel: International travel to Europe, UAE and APAC regions as required.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager / Product Owner – E-Invoicing with a strong background in Chartered Accountancy (CA), GST, Indirect Taxation and E-Invoicing implementations.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in e-invoicing projects, tax compliance, ERP systems and digital tax transformation. The role involves translating regulatory and tax authority requirements into functional business processes and contributing to the development of innovative tax technology solutions.

Mandatory Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
• Strong knowledge and experience in GST and Indirect Taxation.
• Hands-on experience in E-Invoicing projects and implementations.
• Experience in tax compliance, reconciliation and audit.
• Strong understanding of finance and taxation business processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. E-Invoicing & Tax Impact Assessment

• Assess the impact of new e-invoicing regulations on existing business processes.
• Evaluate implications across Finance, Taxation, Procurement and Sales functions.
• Recommend process improvements to ensure regulatory compliance.

2. Regulatory Use Case Mapping

• Analyse tax authority requirements, e-invoicing scenarios and reporting mandates.
• Map regulatory requirements to end-to-end business processes.
• Ensure alignment between statutory requirements and business operations.

3. ERP Gap Analysis

• Assess existing ERP capabilities against e-invoicing and tax regulatory requirements.
• Identify system gaps, limitations and compliance risks.
• Prepare gap assessment reports and recommend solutions.

4. ERP Data Assessment

• Identify missing or incomplete data fields required for e-invoicing and tax reporting.
• Collaborate with IT and ERP teams on data requirements and structures.
• Support data standardisation and regulatory integration readiness.

5. Tax Technology & Product Development

• Work with product and engineering teams to develop digital tax solutions.
• Translate tax and regulatory requirements into functional specifications.
• Provide inputs on tax logic, compliance rules and automation.
• Participate in functional testing, UAT and solution validation.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Experience with international e-invoicing mandates and multi-country implementations.
• Exposure to European e-invoicing regulations and UAE e-invoicing requirements.
• Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Experience in tax technology platforms and digital compliance solutions.
• Experience working with cross-functional Tax, Finance, IT and Product teams.
• Exposure to product development, automation, analytics and tax transformation initiatives.
• Experience in process re-engineering and large-scale transformation programmes.

Pay: ₹842,000.00 - ₹4,000,000.00 per year
