Knowmax is an AI-powered knowledge management platform for enterprise contact centers and support teams. We turn scattered information into governed, guided knowledge: decision trees, visual guides and AI answers that help agents and customers resolve issues faster. Our customers run support at scale across telecom, banking, insurance, healthcare and BPO in North America, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Every design decision here reaches thousands of agents and customers every day.
You will be the product designer at Knowmax. You won't be one of several designers; you'll be the one. You will sit inside the product team, work daily with product and engineering, and own how the platform looks, feels and works from start to finish.
This is a high-ownership role with real mentorship. You will get guidance on product context, decisions and process, but the craft is yours to run. If you want your work to ship and want to be able to point to it, this is that role.
• Own features end to end: understand the problem, map the flows and hand off polished, developer-ready screens
• Improve what already exists. A large part of the job is making the current product clearer and more consistent, not only designing new features
• Design for web first, and make sure layouts hold up on tablet and mobile
• Build and maintain our Figma design system: components, variables and libraries that keep the product consistent as it grows
• Prototype flows to test ideas and explain interactions before they reach development
• Sit in on customer feedback sessions with the product team to understand how agents and admins actually use the product
• Use AI tools daily (Claude, Figma AI and others) to explore, iterate and move faster
• Work with engineering through build and QA so that what ships matches what was designed
• Support occasional design needs across the business, such as sales and marketing collateral
• 0 to 2 years of experience in UI/UX, product or interaction design (internships and freelance work count)
• A portfolio that shows how you think, not just how the screens look: the problem, the options you considered and why you chose what you did
• Strong hands-on Figma skills: Auto Layout, components, variants, variables, libraries and prototyping
• A solid grip on design fundamentals: layout, typography, color, visual hierarchy, spacing and grids
• Good understanding of interaction design, information architecture and user flows
• Working knowledge of responsive design across screen sizes
• Familiarity with usability principles
• Clear communication. You can explain why you made a design decision, not just what it is
• The ability to manage your own work and deliver without being chased
• Genuine curiosity about AI tools and modern design workflows
• A degree or diploma in UI/UX, interaction, visual or graphic design or a related field is preferred, but your portfolio matters more
• Exposure to B2B, SaaS or enterprise products, especially complex, data-heavy interfaces
• Experience building or maintaining a design system
• Interest in AI-first product experiences
No front-end coding. HTML, CSS and JavaScript are not required. We care about design craft and product thinking.
• Real ownership from day one, with your work shipping to enterprise customers
• A small team where your input directly shapes the product
• Hands-on experience designing AI-first products in a growing category
• Mentorship and close collaboration with product and engineering
Free courses, interview questions and practice for each skill.
