Job Title: Procurement Analyst II Spend Analytics

We are looking for a skilled Procurement Analyst III with strong experience in procurement spend analytics, data analysis, and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing procurement, sourcing, supplier, and contract data to identify spending trends, cost-saving opportunities, business risks, and process improvements.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with advanced SQL or SAS, Python, and Power BI to develop automated reports, build interactive dashboards, validate data quality, and deliver actionable insights to procurement stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze procurement spend data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, spending patterns, and process inefficiencies.
• Perform supplier, sourcing, contract, and category-level spend analysis.
• Extract, transform, validate, and analyze large datasets using advanced SQL or SAS.
• Use Python for data manipulation, automation, and analytical workflows.
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, including DAX and data modeling.
• Monitor procurement KPIs, including cost savings, supplier performance, compliance, and spend under management.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, governance, and quality across procurement reports.
• Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and actionable business insights.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders to support procurement strategy and decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes through automation and self-service analytics.

Mandatory Skills

• Bachelor's degree in any relevant discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on data analytics experience.
• Mandatory experience in procurement spend analysis, spend analytics, or a closely related procurement analytics function.
• Advanced SQL or SAS for data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis.
• Strong Python skills for data manipulation and automation.
• Hands-on Power BI experience, including dashboard development, DAX, data modeling, and visualization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate analytical findings and business recommendations effectively.

Good to Have Skills

• Experience with procurement platforms such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of procurement KPIs, supplier performance, sourcing, contract analytics, and spend under management.
• Experience in financial services, BFSI, procurement risk, or third-party management.
• Understanding of data governance, regulatory requirements, and risk and control frameworks.
• Experience with predictive analytics, data science, or AI-driven insights.

Candidate Profile

Candidates must have proven hands-on experience in procurement spend analysis along with strong SQL/SAS, Python, and Power BI skills. General reporting or data analytics experience without procurement spend analysis will not be sufficient.
