Job Summary: The Sheet Metal Laser Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC laser cutting machines to cut sheet metal components accurately and efficiently. The role ensures high-quality output while following safety, quality, and production standards. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines for sheet metal (fiber/CO₂ lasers) Load and unload sheet metal sheets (steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc.) Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and cut files Select correct programs, adjust parameters, and perform test cuts Monitor cutting process to ensure precision, edge quality, and minimal waste Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (vernier caliper, micrometer, gauges) Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting Identify material defects and report machine or quality issues Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and company procedures Required Qualifications & Skills: Experience operating sheet metal laser cutting machines Ability to read technical drawings and measurements Knowledge of different sheet metal materials and thicknesses Basic computer and CNC control knowledge Strong attention to detail and quality standards Preferred Qualifications: Experience with laser cutting machines Background in sheet metal fabrication Technical certification or vocational training Experience: 3–4 years in: Laser Operator (Bodor E- Series) Salary & Benefits: Competitive salary as per industry standards.
