Key Responsibilities: Electrical System Maintenance: Perform routine and emergency maintenance, installation, and repairs on electrical systems and equipment including lighting, circuit boards, generators, and patient care areas. Emergency Power Systems: Oversee and maintain backup power systems, including generators and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), ensuring they meet hospital operational standards. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all electrical work adheres to local, state, and federal electrical codes, Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical faults and failures in hospital equipment, systems, and infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior electricians, providing guidance, training, and quality control on all electrical work. Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems and infrastructure, ensuring reliability and safety. Collaboration: Work closely with hospital operations, engineering teams, and outside contractors for electrical system upgrades, new installations, or capital improvement projects. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, and safety tests, ensuring documentation is up-to-date for auditing and compliance purposes.
