Role & responsibilities: Accounts Maintenance & Bookkeeping: Ensure accurate maintenance of financial records and support the finalization of books of accounts. General Ledger (GL) Accounting: Oversee and validate all GL entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities. Audit Coordination: Liaise with internal and statutory auditors, provide necessary documentation, and ensure timely completion of audits. Team Supervision: Lead and supervise the accounting team at the plant, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Process Improvement: Strengthen and upgrade accounting systems at the plant for real-time, accurate financial reporting. Controls & Compliance: Implement and enhance internal control systems for accounting and commercial documentation processes. Audit Support: Provide day-to-day support to internal and external auditors for plant-level activities and reporting. Sales Return Verification: Review, verify, and validate sales return documentation and accounting entries. Cost & Data Analysis: Manage and analyse conversion cost data and prepare daily/periodic reports for management. GST Compliance: Handle GST calculations and compliance at the unit/plant level. Data Collection & Improvement: Work closely with the Managing Director to collect, streamline, and improve data management processes. Documentation Control: Oversee and improve documentation systems to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance. Preferred candidate profile: A preferred candidate for a Senior Manager, Accounts and Finance role typically holds a bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, and often has a professional certification like a Chartered Accountant (CA), CMA, or CPA . They need 10+ years of experience , including managerial experience, and must have strong skills in financial reporting, budgeting, analysis, taxation, and proficiency with financial software and Tally, ERP systems. Key attributes include strong leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills. Education and certifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Business Administration. Professional certifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or CMA are highly preferred.
