Position Overview We are seeking a Power System Planning Engineer to support our ongoing transmission and distribution (T&D) and grid planning projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and software-based experience in PSSE , ETAP , EasyPower , and Transmission Planning tools , along with a deep understanding of power flow, short circuit, and protection coordination studies. Key Responsibilities Conduct power system planning studies including load flow, short circuit, and contingency analyses for transmission and distribution networks. Develop and review single-line diagrams, system configurations, and grid connection designs. Perform stability, protection coordination, and reliability analyses using ETAP, SKM and EasyPower. Support transmission expansion and reinforcement planning studies. Review and analyze grid codes, interconnection standards, and technical requirements for utility-scale projects. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and deliverables for clients and regulatory authorities. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support design and feasibility studies. Assist in proposal preparation, data collection, and technical documentation for RFP submissions. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical / Power Engineering. 4–10 years of experience in power system planning, preferably with utilities or consulting firms. Strong hands-on experience with PSSE , ETAP , SKM, EasyPower , or other simulation tools (e.g., DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSSE). Solid understanding of transmission and distribution network design and operation. Familiarity with load forecasting, reactive power planning, and renewable integration studies is a plus. Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills. Preferred Skills Knowledge of grid interconnection studies (132kV, 230kV, 400kV systems). Exposure to international codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, NERC). Experience in working on World Bank, SEC, or other utility projects is an asset.
