Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled
PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) with 3–4 years
of hands-on experience in database administration, performance optimization, backup and recovery, replication, and production support. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills and experience managing PostgreSQL databases in production environments.
Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain PostgreSQL databases across development, staging, and production environments.

Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize SQL queries, indexes, and execution plans.

Manage database backups, recovery, Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR), and disaster recovery processes.

Configure and maintain PostgreSQL Streaming and Logical Replication.

Perform database performance tuning, VACUUM, ANALYZE, and capacity planning.

Handle production incidents, RTB (Run the Business), and BTB (Build the Business) activities.

Implement database security, user roles, permissions, access controls, and auditing.

Support database migrations, version upgrades, patching, and environment refresh activities.

Automate routine database administration tasks using scripting and automation tools.

Collaborate with application development, infrastructure, cloud, and DevOps teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications

3–4 years of hands-on PostgreSQL database administration experience.

Strong knowledge of SQL, query optimization, indexing, and execution plans.

Experience with PostgreSQL backup, recovery, PITR, and replication.

Understanding of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR).

Strong experience in production database troubleshooting and performance monitoring.

Good knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.

Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.

Experience with Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
Good To Have

Experience managing large-scale PostgreSQL databases.

Exposure to MongoDB administration.

Knowledge of Oracle or MySQL.

Experience with database monitoring and observability tools.
