Polytec India is expanding its operations and seeking a skilled Application Manager in the TMS vertical to support our customers & business partners across India. Role Description The Application Manager will lead technical applications of Polytec’s measurement solutions in India. Key responsibilities include understanding customer requirements, delivering demos and training, managing the Pune demo center, developing application notes, and providing technical support and troubleshooting. The role also involves close collaboration with the sales team to drive business growth. Key Responsibilities Provide pre- and post-sales technical support to customers across India. Provide technical support to business partners/distributors across India, enabling them to effectively promote and support Polytec solutions. Operate and manage the Demo Center in Pune, including conducting demonstrations, trials, and customer training sessions. Install, configure, and validate TMS products (3D Optical Profilers/Interferometers) TMS products at customer sites. Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations for potential and existing customers. Deliver customer training programs on product operation, applications, and best practices. Assist the sales team with technical discussions, proof-of-concept studies, and application feasibility. Provide troubleshooting and on-site support to ensure smooth functioning of equipment. Deliver customer webinars and seminars, and actively participate in exhibitions/trade shows to represent Polytec’s technology and engage with potential clients. Collaborate with Polytec Global teams to adapt and implement solutions for the Indian market. Document customer requirements and feedback to support product development and improvements. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s / Master’s in Engineering (Mechanical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field). Experience: 8-12 years in metrology, precision instruments, or related technical fields. Hands-on experience with 3D Optical Profilers, Interferometers, or similar optical metrology systems is a strong plus. Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex measurement principles. Excellent communication and presentation skills for conducting demos and trainings. Customer-oriented approach with problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel across India for installations, training, and support.
