Platform Backend Software Engineer

Role Overview: As a Software Engineer at AlphaVerse, you will be a part of the team responsible for developing a cutting-edge mid-frequency trading and crowdsourcing platform. Your role will involve implementing, extending, and maintaining platform features while writing clean, well-documented code with appropriate test coverage. You will participate in code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to technical documentation. Additionally, you will be expected to be on-call on a rotating basis and take ownership of smaller projects from design to deployment. Key Responsibilities: - Implement, extend, and maintain platform features - Write clean, well-documented code with appropriate test coverage - Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation - Troubleshoot and debug production issues - Be on-call on a rotating basis - Contribute to technical documentation and internal knowledge base - Participate in team meetings and design discussions - Take ownership of smaller projects and features from design to deployment Qualifications Required: - Able to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding startup environment - Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design - High proficiency in Python with a strong understanding at a lower level - Experience designing and implementing RESTful services - Familiarity with GCP services like Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, Datastore, and Cloud Storage - Experience with PostgreSQL or equivalent SQL database - Experience with Cython/C/C++ in a performance-sensitive environment is a plus In addition to the technical qualifications, you will need to be enthusiastic about building products from scratch and be excited about contributing to a collaborative team environment at AlphaVerse.,
