Check prescriptions for proper dosage; dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or other healthcare professionals and advise them on indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions, and dosage Maintain medication profiles of customers, including a registry of poisons, narcotics, and controlled drugs; order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies; advise customers on the selection and use of non-prescription medications; renew existing prescriptions in limited circumstances.
