1. Production Planning & Scheduling: Prepare and maintain detailed daily/weekly/monthly production plans aligned with project timelines. Coordinate closely with Engineering and Procurement teams to ensure drawings, raw materials, and consumables are available before production release. Allocate and sequence jobs across bays, jigs, and contractor teams to maximize productivity and minimize idle time. 2. Shop-Floor Coordination & Execution Control: Delegate work to supervisors, contractors, and machine operators as per production priorities. Monitor day-to-day fabrication progress of girders, OWGs, PEB members, and related structures. Ensure adherence to RDSO standards, fabrication norms, and internal quality requirements. 3. Reporting & Performance Tracking: Review daily production reports, welding logs, fit-up and assembly progress, and highlight deviations. Submit consolidated daily/weekly/monthly MIS to management with clear visibility on output, delays, and bottlenecks. Track material consumption, job-wise hours spent, and update progress dashboards. 4. Material & Consumable Control: Ensure availability and reconciliation of raw materials, welding consumables, gases, and shop tools. Coordinate with stores for timely issue/return and support accurate material tracking. Drive ZERO wastage through strict monitoring and control mechanisms. 5. Process Improvement & Efficiency Enhancement: Continuously evaluate fabrication processes and identify opportunities to reduce rework, delays, and non-value-adding activities. Enhance production rates by optimizing workflow layouts, contractor deployment, and machine utilization. Build structured SOPs for PPC, contractor allocation, and inspection cycles. 6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Procurement, and Project teams to ensure smooth handover between stages. Coordinate client inspections, stage clearances, and project timelines as required. Support management with data-driven insights for planning new projects and capacity allocation. Applicant Requirements / Qualifications: Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Experience: 5-15 years of experience in fabrication environments, preferably in heavy steel structures, bridge girders, PEB, or industrial structural manufacturing. Preferred Knowledge & Skills: Strong understanding of fabrication processes, welding, fit-up, assembly, and dispatch sequencing. Ability to plan, allocate, and manage contractors/subordinates effectively. Experience in production reporting, material reconciliation, and schedule management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and coordination skills across shop floor and office teams. Strong ownership mindset with a commitment to timely deliverables and production discipline.
