Job Mission An Application Engineer (AE) at Piab supports customer relationships by maintaining deep product technical knowledge and providing technical advice, technical support, and technical expertise to enable & foster expansion in the market and solve for customer and internal inquiry, problems and needs. Liaisons with Sales Engineer, Productivity Engineer, and Inside Sales to the support. Job Responsibilities Identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the quote process. Establish and maintain strong relationships with Partners and Customers. Order Processing and coordination with supply team Provide Inside sales support to sales team Maintain proficient level of product knowledge and application. Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. Provide design and specification development support to Partners and Customers. Perform technical/product training and test of material for Partners and Customers. Maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts, and correspondence. Provides product feedback to AE Manager and Product Business Units to improve products. Maintain and continuously update project information in Salesforce. Identify customer's needs and sales opportunities to help future growth. Provide and be assisting in the training of new Sales Engineers and Application Engineers and provide business inputs to sales management. Key Interfaces You work very close to the market together with Area Sales Managers, Partners and Customers. Required Qualifications Proven track record of success in solving applications in the automation industry Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and industrial automation systems Able to handle challenging customer situations Comfortable working in factory environments such as assembly and maintenance PC literate with a working knowledge of MS Windows applications CAD experience Job Requirement: Self-motivated and works independently Highly driven and results-oriented Ability to travel up to 20% of the time – should be willing to travel on short notice Minimum of 2 years in a technical sales role, preferably in a B2B technology company High school degree in Engineering and/or or Automation Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English Driver’s license Piab Values Commit • Explore • Lead • Grow All employees at Piab are committed to fulfill their responsibilities, have a strong on-hands mentality, and always do what they say.
