PhD Position on Responsible Multimodal Information Delivery in Human-AI Interactions

The project aims to design adaptive, responsible intelligent interactive systems that enhance user trust and decision-making without promoting over-reliance or skepticism. The research will explore how system design and user factors influence interpretation, trust, and safety in AI-empowered interactive systems, particularly those involving generative information and recommendations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Investigate and design adaptive, responsible intelligent interactive systems - Enhance user trust and decision-making without encouraging over-reliance or skepticism - Address how system design and user factors influence interpretation, trust, and safety in AI-empowered interactive systems **Qualifications Required:** - Masters degree (or equivalent) in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Applied Psychology, Human Factors, or a related discipline - Multidisciplinary background covering user aspects/psychology, research methods, and engineering skills in AI - Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or similar - Strong academic writing skills and interest in publishing in peer-reviewed journals - Excellent written and spoken English (C2 level) The application deadline is 6 July 2025.
