Job Summary:

Pharmacist

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately based on prescriptions from ophthalmologists and other consultants.
• Provide clear instructions to patients regarding dosage, usage, and storage of medicines.
• Counsel patients on drug interactions, side effects, and precautions for ophthalmic medications (e.g., eye drops, ointments).
• Maintain and manage stock levels, placing orders for replenishment as required.
• Ensure that all medicines are stored according to prescribed standards.
• Maintain up-to-date pharmacy records, including purchase, sales, and stock registers.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, legal regulations, and drug control guidelines.
• Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other medical staff to support patient care.
• Handle billing and insurance documentation related to prescriptions.
• Conduct periodic stock audits and support inventory reconciliation.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• B.Pharm or D.Pharm

  from a recognized institution.
• Valid

  Pharmacy Council registration

  is mandatory.
• 25 years of pharmacy experience in a hospital or clinical setup (Ophthalmology experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of ophthalmic medications and drug handling.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and strong documentation abilities.
• Proficient in pharmacy software and basic computer operations.
