Job Summary:

The Social Science Teacher will be responsible for teaching History, Geography, Civics, and Economics as per the CBSE curriculum, fostering analytical thinking, social awareness, and moral responsibility among students. The teacher will integrate value-based education in lessons to promote an understanding of society, culture, and citizenship aligned with the philosophy of Akal Academies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Social Science as per the CBSE curriculum.
• Develop lesson plans that connect historical and social concepts with real-life applications.
• Encourage students to explore human, cultural, political, and geographical dimensions critically and creatively.
• Organize interactive learning sessions through discussions, projects, presentations, and field activities.
• Prepare, administer, and grade formative and summative assessments to evaluate student performance.
• Maintain detailed academic records and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
• Incorporate moral and spiritual values within classroom teaching in line with the ethos of Baru Sahib.
• Promote awareness about social harmony, environmental responsibility, and global citizenship.
• Participate in co-curricular activities like quizzes, exhibitions, and educational trips related to Social Studies.
• Ensure effective classroom management, discipline, and a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues for interdisciplinary and value-based learning initiatives.
• Attend departmental meetings, training sessions, and school events as assigned.

Qualification & Experience:

• Educational Qualification:
• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in History / Geography / Political Science / Economics / Social Studies.
• B.Ed. (mandatory)
• Experience:
• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience preferred (CBSE/English-medium school).
• Freshers with strong conceptual understanding and teaching aptitude may also be considered.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
