General Job Description Responsible to plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of Electrical & Instrumentation engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Planning and defining the complete E&I scope in each Project / Pre-order. Typically reports to Assistant Manager and co-ordinate with other inter-department for engineering design team activities. Duties and Responsibilities Review of Project Specifications Review of P&I Drawings Preparation of various Field Instruments Data Sheets (PG, LG, FG, TG, PT, LT, FT, TT, CV, Analyzer & Etc.) Preparation of Process & Pneumatic Hookup drawings & MTO Preparation of Cable Engineering documents & MTO Preparation Instruments List, Alarm & Trip Schedule, IO list, Control narrative and cause & Effect drawing. Preparation Control logic and Block Interlocking Diagrams Preparation of Instrument & Electrical Cable tray routing drawings Preparation Control System Configuration (PLC / DCS / RTU) and Bill of materials. Review of Control System vendor documents (Wiring drawing / Calculation / Logic) Preparation of Electrical Data Sheets (Motor, Electric Heater, LCP, LCS, Cables & Trays) Preparation JB interconnection drawing and Local control panel Logic & drawing Preparation Preparation of Electrical Load List Selection of LT Electrical Equipments like MCC Switch gears, Variable Speed drives and LT Cables. Vendor drawing review for all Electrical equipments (Motor, Electric Heater, LCP and LCS) Overall E&I Hardware Estimation for procurement (Cable, Cable Tray, Cable Glands, junction box, PDB & Etc.). Preparation of purchase requisitions for instrumentation and electrical equipments / components Technical BID Evaluation and Vendor technical offer Comments for various Field Instruments (As stated above) Technical BID Evaluation and Vendor technical offer Comments for various Electrical components (As stated above) Technical BID Evaluation and Vendor technical offer Comments for DCS / PLC / RTU. Inter-Team coordination with various discipline (Project/package/Procurement/Design / Production) E&I Technical support to proposal Team for Pre-Order engineering. Preparation dof Weekly / Monthly reports of project status Preparation of as-built drawings and documents Organize the department, section or workplace so that any operation or work carried out is to a satisfactory standard of safety, with minimum risk to persons, materials and equipment. Implementation of Health and Safety management system. Participates to HIARA and for new activities/task Takes part in all accident / incident investigation. Allocate enough time for Toolbox meetings and HSE trainings. Co-operate in the investigation of accidents with the objective of introducing methods to prevent re-occurrence. Report all the unsafe conditions, Near misses, Incidents etc. immediately to HSE department and ensure adequate control measures are taken to rectify the issues. Single point of contact towards the project deliverables till completion of project will be with the concern project package Engineer. GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION The job involves preparation / review of equipment layouts, GAD, isometrics, pipe stress analysis, piping supports and isometrics. Proficiency in use of international codes & standards related to layout and piping engineering. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to Design Manager, must be capable of design and developing the Engineering deliverables related to piping & supports as per project requirement. Identify the scope of work & list of doc deliverables by going through the piping specifications and piping standards received as part of project requirement. Attending the internal Project Kick of meeting along with Team Lead and clarify the piping related issues or doubts or missing specifications if any to be obtained from client. Supporting Designer to prepare the preliminary skid layout during pre-order and post order as per client requirement. Preparation of pipe sizing and hydraulic calculations. Checking the adequacy of pipe size recommended by the client. Checking the project specific piping specifications created in piping modelling software. Preparation of preliminary piping BOM based on P&ID and PMS. Review of Plant / skid 3D modelling with respect to piping spec correctness & completeness, piping routing, insulation requirements if any, accessibility, supports & its locations, drain & venting requirements, etc., Doing Piping stress analysis using CAESAR II or equivalent software. Sometimes manual stress calculation and preparing the report. Review of Piping stress analysis reports To Design the pipe supports based on stress calculation output. Assisting structural Engineer / Designer to prepare the support fabrication drawings. Review of piping isometric drawings and support drawings. Preparation / review of final piping BOM. Preparation / Review of As-built drawings. To Participate in Design review meetings (internal or external) as necessary. To identify the areas of concern with respect to progress of assigned work. Discuss with Team Lead or manager to take corrective action wherever required. Completing the given task in a specified time frame with at most care and professional manner. Lead by example; be prepared to perform all tasks required in the initiation, close and execution of the project. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate well within the team as well as with other discipline personnel. EDUCATION & TRAINING Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) Mechanical from an accredited institution with good academic record and with minimum 6 years relevant experience. SKILLS & ABILITIES Hands on experience in plant or package piping design and detail engineering is required. Working experience in Oil & Gas, Refinery or Petrochemical plant and skid package piping would be preferred. Shall have good knowledge and exposure in pipe support design and stress analysis. Exposure to Aramco/ADCO/PDO/Shell/ONGC company specifications related to piping and supports would be considered as added advantage. Exposure to international standards for piping, fittings, valves, etc., is essential. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES Strong working experience in pipe stress analysis software CAESAR II
