We need site engineer who oversees and manages the daily engineering work at different operational stages at a construction site. managing parts of construction projects. overseeing construction work. undertaking surveys. setting out sites. checking technical designs and drawings for accuracy and to ensure that they are followed correctly. supervising contracted staff. ensuring project packages meet agreed specifications, budgets and/or timescales. liaising with clients, subcontractors, local authority employees, architects and other professionals, especially quantity surveyors and the overall project manager. providing technical advice and solving problems on site. preparing site reports and logging progress. ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to planning and preparing technical drawings and construction layouts reviewing work schedules and delegating work tasks organising construction materials and negotiating vendor contracts conducting preliminary inspections at potential construction sites gathering data and writing site reports and other necessary work documentation determining project feasibility and giving approval developing construction project budget estimates providing technical advice and diagnosing and resolving technical difficulties ensuring compliance with health, safety and legal regulations collaborating with clients, construction crews, subcontractors and other professionals.
