a. Expert in quality procedures, quality plans, safety procedures, safety plan, quality audit, safety audit etc b. Be Responsible for Quality assurance & quality control of the Materials as well as works executed. c. Gain understanding of Railway’s requirements and needs and convert the same into a Quality Assurance plan. d. Study the Quality assurance plan available with the Railway Contractors, improve and review the same as Per Railway’s requirements. e. f. Impart Training to Railway’s and Contractor’s personnel on the Quality assurance plan. Set up requirements for raw materials, finished materials from the Contractors and Railways and monitor the compliance. g. Inspect Raw materials, Manufacturing process and semi-finished/ finished materials at various stages both off-site as well on-site. h. Supervise the execution of works and thereby ensure that the Quality Assurance plan is adhered to at all stages. Generate & address to the non-compliances and carry out necessary measures to prevent their recurrence. j. Maintain documentation for Management information system and carry out Statistical analysis. Gain feedbacks from Railways, attend all meetings called by Railways. k. Ensure that the legal obligations are followed and shall ensure compliances with regulatory bodies and Health and Safety guidelines. l. Understand the Requirements and needs of Railways on Safety aspects and shall stay updated on the latest Government Regulations on Safety and Industrial Safety standards. k)Create Safety Policies as per the extant Safety Methods/ Standards including fire prevention plan duly considering the Railway’s requirements and prepare SHE (Safety Health and Environment) Manual. m. Impart Training to Railway’s and Contractor’s personnel on the SHE Manual and basic life support system. n. Continuously inspect worksites as a part of Hazard identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) & recommend corrective measures and deliberate the modality of implementation of the recommended measures with the Resident Engineer, and Site Engineers. o. Assess and approve Contractors’/Sub-contractors’ Safety Plan. p. Inspect and verify tools/equipment, machineries etc., to ensure adherence to the Safety Plan. q. Carry out drills and exercises for managing emergency circumstances and measurements of responses and thereby take corrective actions. u. Establish and maintain Health and Safety communication structure. v. Gain feedbacks from Railways, attend all meetings called by Resident Engineer and Railways. w. Monitor and maintain all safety related documents. Coordinate with Resident Engineer and Railways regarding matters pertaining to Hazardous Materials/Waste.
