The Director – Information Technology (IT) (Government & Public Sector Consulting) will lead technology advisory initiatives for clients. This full-time, on-site role involves steering IT strategy, overseeing digital transformation programs, and enhancing technology governance frameworks. The Director will ensure alignment of IT systems with sectoral priorities, manage end-to-end project delivery, and drive innovation in government technology ecosystems. The role includes leading multidisciplinary teams, engaging with senior government stakeholders, resolving complex technical challenges, and ensuring strict adherence to governance standards. Key Responsibilities: Develop IT strategy, digital transformation frameworks, and governance models to support government and public sector engagements. Establish internal processes, methodologies, and standard operating procedures for IT advisory and project delivery. Lead the formulation of cybersecurity, data governance, and technology management guidelines relevant to public sector clients. Build and mentor a core IT consulting team and oversee capacity development initiatives. Engage with prospective government stakeholders to assess needs, identify opportunities, and position the firm for future assignments. Enhance proposal quality and knowledge assets through well-structured solution inputs and domain insights. Engage with stakeholders in a manner that fosters continuity, deeper partnerships, and potential avenues for future collaboration. Qualifications Minimum 15+ years of experience in IT management, e-governance, or digital transformation, preferably within government or public sector consulting. Proven experience leading large teams (30+ members) and managing complex IT programs or technology initiatives. Strong expertise in: o IT strategy, governance, and digital transformation o IT operations and infrastructure management o Network security and cybersecurity frameworks o Government procurement processes (preferred) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Demonstrated ability to manage projects effectively and build strong client relationships. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a related field (B.Tech/B.E., B.Sc. IT, or BCA), along with a master’s degree such as M.Tech, MCA, or M.Sc. in IT/Computer Science. Professional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, CISSP, CISM, or TOGAF are an added advantage.
