As a Senior User Interface Designer at Overstand Labs, you will play a crucial role in creating beautiful and responsive user interfaces using your expertise in Figma. Your primary responsibility will be to design scalable and user-centered interfaces for web and mobile applications, ensuring consistency across all products. You will also be tasked with creating interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas and user flows. Collaborating with UX designers, product managers, and developers will be essential to deliver high-quality design solutions that meet the needs of our clients. Additionally, you will be expected to develop and maintain design systems, mentor junior designers, and contribute to the overall growth of the design team. The ideal candidate for this role should have at least 5 years of experience in UI design for digital products, with expert-level proficiency in Figma for both UI design and prototyping. A strong understanding of responsive design principles, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy is required. Experience in creating and maintaining design systems, as well as the ability to effectively communicate design decisions and rationales, are also essential. While not required, experience with other design tools, basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, video editing skills, and familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices would be considered advantageous.
