Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Truss Designer/Estimator to join our team. This role combines technical design expertise with cost estimation to deliver accurate, efficient truss solutions for residential and commercial construction projects. This is an in-house/office position requiring the candidate to work on-site. Location: Pune, Maharashtra Work Arrangement: In-office (On-site) Key Responsibilities Design & Engineering · Design roof and floor truss systems using industry-standard software (MiTek, Alpine, Simpson or similar platforms) · Analyze architectural plans and specifications to determine truss requirements · Ensure all designs comply with applicable building codes, engineering standards, and local regulations · Perform structural calculations and load analysis for truss systems · Create detailed estimates, shop drawings and truss layouts Estimation & Bidding · Prepare accurate material takeoffs and cost estimates for truss projects · Analyze project specifications and blueprints to determine scope and requirements · Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain competitive pricing · Generate detailed proposals and bid packages for clients · Review and validate estimates for accuracy and completeness Project Coordination · Collaborate with sales, production, and installation teams to ensure project success · Address design modifications and change orders efficiently · Provide technical support for the sales team Required Qualifications Education · Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (required) Experience · 2+ years of experience in truss design or structural engineering · Proficiency with structural design software · Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software Technical Skills · Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and building codes · Knowledge of wood truss design standards and industry practices · Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings · Excellent mathematical and analytical skills · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) Professional Competencies · Strong attention to detail and accuracy · Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities · Effective communication skills (written and verbal) in English · Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines · Team-oriented with ability to work independently Preferred Qualifications · Experience in multi-family and commercial construction · Knowledge of IRC, IBC, and ANSI/TPI 1 standards · Familiarity with lumber grading and material properties · Previous estimating or project management experience What We Offer · Competitive salary commensurate with experience · Comprehensive benefits package · Professional development opportunities · Collaborative work environment · Opportunity for career growth To Apply Please submit your resume, cover letter, and portfolio of relevant work to [email protected] and [email protected] .
