Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Oracle PL/SQL Developer with 5+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL, SSIS, and ODI. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in database development, ETL processes, data migration, and code conversion.
The candidate will be responsible for converting ODI SQL, mappings, and procedures into native Oracle PL/SQL packages and procedures, developing and maintaining SSIS packages, optimizing database jobs, resolving defects, and supporting end-to-end testing activities.
Required Technical Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, SSIS, and ODI.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining Oracle database packages, stored procedures, and functions.
- Experience converting ODI SQL, mappings, and procedures into Oracle PL/SQL packages and procedures.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining SSIS packages, including Control Flow, Data Flow, loops, variables, connections, and configurations.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes, data migration, and data transformation.
- Experience in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing PL/SQL code and database jobs.
- Knowledge of unit testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), data validation, and defect resolution.
- Ability to prepare test summary reports, technical specifications, ETL documentation, and process flows.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and enhance SSIS packages, including Control Flow, Data Flow, loops, variables, connections, and configurations.
- Convert ODI jobs, SQL queries, mappings, and procedures into native Oracle PL/SQL database packages and procedures.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Oracle PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, and queries.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize PL/SQL jobs to improve database performance and efficiency.
- Perform unit testing and support System Integration Testing (SIT).
- Conduct data validation to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects in converted code.
- Prepare and present test summary reports.
- Document ETL jobs, technical specifications, database processes, and process flows.
- Support ETL migration and modernization initiatives.
- Collaborate with technical and testing teams to ensure successful code conversion and implementation.
Preferred Skills
- Practical knowledge of Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) job conversion and migration.
- Experience in ETL modernization and legacy code migration.
- Knowledge of database performance tuning and query optimization.
- Experience working on complex data transformation and migration projects.
