We are focusing and solely building for the Asian market. Most documentaries are in English (80%), the fastest audience with interests in documentaries come from the Asian continent. Meanwhile, most Asians know little to basic English as their native languages are precious to them (as it should for all race), now JOIN US MAKE DOCUMENTARIES AVAILABLE IN ASIAN LANGUAGES FOR ASIANS Role Description This is a Volunteer position (unpaid) for Asian Language Linguists (most especially, MINORITY LANGUAGES). In this role, you will be responsible for translating, localizing, and proofreading datasets and sample contents and reviewing sentences and words from the samples in various Asian languages which will be used to train our AI model to be strong and most accurate with Asian languages. Additional responsibilities include ensuring cultural accuracy, up-to-date slangs inclusion, conducting quality checks, and providing relevant linguistic and cultural insights to improve the user experience. You will collaborate closely with the engineering teams to optimize language offerings. Qualifications Fluency in one or more Asian languages, with strong command of the grammar, vocabulary, and cultural nuances. Expertise in translation, localization, and proofreading techniques to guarantee accurate and culturally appropriate adaptations. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams (AI/ML/NLP engineers) Experience with translation or language software and familiarity with multimedia content formats is highly desirable. Attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a remote work environment . A degree in Linguistics, Translation, Asian Studies, or a related field is preferred (alternatively, if you are a strong native speaker, we will love to have you onboard)
OPPORTUNITY FOR "MOBILE APP INTERN" (Unpaid Internship) We are building a streaming platform for Asians where documentaries are streamed in their preferred languages (even minority Asian languages). We are giving an opportunity for only one mobile app engineer to work with us (work with our mobile app engineer), who wants to gain more real life experience by "working with a startup and building real life projects" to APPLY for the role. RESPONSIBILITIES • Will work with the engineering team and basically assisting the mobile engineer while also building real life things. QUALIFICATIONS • Works/builds with Typescript, React and React Native • Have built a personal mobile app project (that's WACKY, compared to what you know now). NOTE : Don't APPLY if you; cannot commit to learn, cannot learn fast, if you aren't eager to gain more real life work experiences.
