Staff Engineer – E-commerce Location: Hybrid (3 days/week onsite) – Hyderabad, India Industry: OTT / Digital Entertainment / E-commerce Audience Reach: 100M+ global fans About the Role We’re hiring a Staff Engineer to join our E-commerce team , reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager . In this senior-level role , you’ll blend technical leadership with hands-on development , playing a pivotal role in shaping our e-commerce architecture, driving code quality, and mentoring engineers . Hybrid work model – 3 days a week onsite in Hyderabad. Key Responsibilities Lead design, development, and maintenance of scalable e-commerce solutions Define and implement architectural strategies across systems Champion engineering best practices and enforce code quality standards Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship Collaborate cross-functionally to align systems with business goals Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies early Mentor engineers , fostering growth and technical excellence Provide hands-on technical guidance to development teams Stay current with industry trends and recommend relevant tools/technologies Influence long-term strategy and contribute to product roadmap planning Identify and eliminate engineering process inefficiencies Work in a distributed, agile team environment Attend client calls or meetings when required What You Bring Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related technical field 12+ years of professional software engineering experience Proven track record of building and leading complex systems Strong command over modern development methodologies and practices Tech Stack & Expertise Languages/Frameworks: JavaScript, Node.js, AngularJS, Bootstrap Platform Expertise: Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) ISML, Pipelines, Controllers Business Manager configuration & customization API Integration: REST, SOAP, JSON, XML In-depth understanding of e-commerce systems & scalable architecture Bonus Points Exceptional analytical & communication skills Demonstrated leadership & mentoring capabilities Experience working with external vendors/contractors (nice to have) Show more Show less
