Operation Theatre Staff

Job responsibilities:

Daily Job Activities:

• Assigning Staff for each procedure.
• Going through the duty roster to see whether staff is present or not and arranging staff to replace any absenteeism.
• Checking the OTs scheduled for the proper arrangement with respect to the case.
• Creating Baby ID and admission of the baby.
• Cross Checking the billing of previous night and evening and recording the work done.
• Co-ordinating with housekeeping staff for cleaning procedures and allocating housekeeping staff per day.
• Booking cases and information keeping which is later passed on to Doctors and Anesthetist.
• Seeing that all functions run smoothly for the day.
• Patient Pharmacy billing and indenting.

Weekly Job Activities:

• Check the consumables and non- consumables stock.
• Making Lists of topics to be covered in weekly classes and assign nurses from various wards.
• Check reports and records.
• Arranging weekly meetings with staff.
• Guiding staff at work.
• Submitting Duty Roster and submitting the same to the nursing superintendent and Human Resource Department.

Monthly Job Activities:

• Preparing the statistics of the month and reporting the same to the Management
• Calculating the Number of male and female babies born in the month and sending the same details to Nursing Superintendent.
• Reporting D&C Registers to the Nursing Superintendent and tubectomy register to Human Resource Department.
• Recording and reporting of consumables and non consumables of each month and submit the same to the nursing department
