Job Title: General Manager – Open Source Engineering & Delivery Location: Kochi, Kerala, India Experience: 10 years (6 years in Open Source technologies and 4 years in leadership) Role Summary A highly technical and hands-on General Manager to lead an Open Source engineering, support, and documentation center in Kochi. Acts as the site lead and primary responsible authority for operational excellence, global delivery, and open-source community engagement. Key Responsibilities Site leadership — single point of accountability for the Kochi delivery center Lead engineering, DevOps, support, and documentation teams (25–50+ members) Manage project budgets, operational expenses, and resource utilization Ensure delivery excellence across Linux, Odoo (OCA), and Qt/QML/C++ initiatives Oversee architecture, security, scalability, and SLA performance Promote open-source culture and upstream community contributions Coordinate with international stakeholders and global open-source vendors Drive hiring, capability development, performance reviews, and KPIs Ensure local compliance and support finance/accounting reporting Mandatory Qualifications Strong hands-on expertise in: Linux systems, Odoo OCA contributions, Qt/QML and C++ development, Python, PostgreSQL Verifiable open-source contribution record (GitHub/OCA/etc.) Proven leadership managing mid-large technical teams Experience managing distributed, multi-vendor global delivery environments Strong financial and operational management capability Excellent English communication for international stakeholder engagement Good to Have Cloud-native & DevOps deployment experience (Docker/Kubernetes/CI-CD) Application Apply in linked-In
