Job Description – On-Site Field Engineer (BPCL Lubricant Bottling Plant)

Position: On-Site Field Engineer

Location: BPCL Lubricant Bottling Plant

Employment Type: Full-Time (On-Site)

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive On-Site Field Engineer to support daily plant

operations at the BPCL Lubricant Bottling Plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for

maintaining system hardware, network infrastructure, production-line printers, embedded

camera systems, and Android-based applications used in the Track & Trace process. The role

requires hands-on technical expertise, strong troubleshooting ability, and strict adherence to

daily reporting and operational discipline.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Infrastructure & Network Management

 Manage and maintain LAN networks, including switches, access points, and local

connectivity.

 Perform LAN crimping, cable management, and port-level troubleshooting.

 Monitor and maintain stable ISP connectivity and escalate issues when required.

 Manage, track, and update IP addresses and IPsec configurations assigned to each

system/equipment.

 Conduct periodic preventive maintenance to ensure network uptime and optimal

performance.

2. System & Hardware Management

 Perform daily checks on system performance, application status, and logs.

 Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues on systems running Ubuntu OS (basic to

intermediate level).

 Install, configure, and maintain system components and replace faulty hardware as

needed.

 Ensure 24×7 readiness of systems involved in printing, scanning, and production

activities.

3. Printer & Equipment Maintenance

 Troubleshoot and maintain Shipper Carton Printers, Laser Marking Printers, and

other packaging-line devices.

 Create and update printing templates as required during production.

 Receive and implement training for specialized equipment maintenance (training will

be provided).

4. Embedded Camera & Sensor System Handling

 Monitor, configure, and maintain embedded camera devices used for scanning,

validation, and inspection.

 Assist in calibration and alignment of vision systems (training will be provided).

5. Application & Device Operations

 Operate and troubleshoot Android-based applications on mobile devices used for

plant operations.

 Ensure smooth operation of applications required for scanning, validation, and

reporting.

6. Reporting & Documentation

 Prepare and submit daily checklists and operational reports to the Reporting

Manager

 Document issues, corrective actions, downtime reasons, and equipment

performance.

 Maintain logs of system health checks, printer performance, and network status.

Required Skills & Qualifications

 Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Computer Science, IT, or related field.

 1–3 years of experience in IT support, field engineering, or production-line

equipment maintenance.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹320,000.00 per year
