Overview Performs overseas site survey’s. Specifically capturing general construction requirements in accordance with the latest OBO Specifications. Primary Responsibilities Review TOPR’s, SOW, and existing project documents prior to attending pre/post-award surveys. Provide a proposed plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes. Follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes. Provide a report with all general construction details for each site visit. Reports should provide enough location specific details for the program team to understand the amount of labor, material, and any unique issues to estimate the potential work. Post-award site visit reports should provide enough details and include bill or material required to properly execute the entire project scope Supervisory Responsibilities There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position. Education And/or Experience Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two year college or technical school. At least ten (10) years related experience (training may be substituted for experience in some situations). Must have experience with installation of Forced Entry Ballistic Resistant Doors and Windows and be familiar with US Embassy/OBO standards for construction. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Construction Superintendents report directly to the assigned On-Site Project Manager. Primary Responsibilities Directly supervise and coordinate activities of numerous minor construction projects. Perform supervisory and management functions reporting to On-Site Project Manager. May also engage in the same construction trades work as the workers being supervised. Supervise crews to obtain top quality workmanship, efficiency, employee satisfaction, morale, communication, commitment, teamwork, and pride.
