Purpose of the position The Group Finance Controller manages the accounting, financial reporting, and compliance activities for a group of companies with subsidiaries in various locations. This role supports the company in all accounting activities of both financial and management accounting, preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and performance reports, assisting departments with annual budgets and reviews, internal & external audits, and tax compliance. Responsibilities & duties Bookkeeping Assist data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records covering all group companies. Ensure accurate and timely closure of accounting activities and the Consolidation of financial statements. Address external and internal stakeholders queries and issues cross countries Reporting Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, and schedules, working with reporting and bookkeeping software. Compliance Ensure the compliance with appropriate regulations, legislation and accounting standards and group accounting policies. Ensuring tax accounting and record maintenance is in compliance with statutory regulations and tax laws caross countries Forecasting Lead and oversee the annual/quarterly/monthly planning processes, including, but not limited to budgeting and forecasts of the income statement, balance sheet, cashflow, etc. Improving Controls, processes and practices Lead the standardization and improvement of accounting processes, policies, procedures, internal controls, and systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency of the accounting department globally. Drive implementation and adoption of new-age technology accounting system and work with various stakeholders to drive SOPs Colloboration Collaborate across functions to recommend solutions, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement projects to increase productivity and automation across countries Additional responsibilities that arise Take initiative and/or direction on projects and responsibilities that go beyond formal responsibilities and that may arise as circumstances change. Academic & Formal Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field required or equivalent experience CPA or other finance-related certification demonstrating mastery of accounting, e.g. CMA, CA, MBA At least 5 years’ experience in managing the accounting activities Exposure to SAP, Exact Online or similar ERP, Excel, Power BI and other data analytics and visualization tools
