Role & responsibilities : As a Lead Backend Engineer, you will be the technical cornerstone of our server-side engineering team. You will lead the design, development, and scaling of our core platform, ensuring its architecture is robust, secure, and ready for millions of users. You will mentor a talented team of developers and drive technical excellence across the board Preferred candidate profile Required Skills: * Proven experience leading backend teams and designing large-scale distributed systems. * Expert-level proficiency in Node.js and its ecosystem, with hands-on experience in high-performance frameworks like Fastify . * Deep understanding of PostgreSQL , including advanced querying, indexing, and performance tuning. * Strong experience with microservices architecture, RESTful API design, and asynchronous communication patterns (e.g., using AWS SQS). * Solid knowledge of caching mechanisms using Redis . * Proficiency with TypeScript . * Excellent leadership and communication skills. Good to Have: * Experience with financial technology (fintech), payment gateways, or wallet systems. * Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
