Y Point Analytics is looking for a skilled Node.js Developer with 2+ years of experience in developing scalable server-side applications, building RESTful APIs, and working with backend frameworks such as Express.js and Hapi.js. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of JavaScript, API development, and database integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize server-side applications using Node.js.
• Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs.
• Build and maintain backend services using Express.js and Hapi.js.
• Implement API authentication and authorization using JWT or OAuth.
• Integrate APIs with databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Handle error management, request validation, and API security.
• Debug issues, troubleshoot production problems, and improve application performance.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and other team members.
• Use Git for version control and participate in code reviews.

Required Skills:

• 2 years of hands-on experience with Node.js.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience developing REST APIs.
• Good understanding of the Express.js framework.
• Experience with the Hapi.js server framework.
• Knowledge of HTTP methods, status codes, JSON, and API request/response handling.
• Experience with MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of asynchronous programming, Promises, and async/await.
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and API security.
• Experience using Git and npm.
• Basic understanding of debugging, testing, and application deployment.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with unit testing using Jest or Mocha.
• Experience deploying Node.js applications on AWS or another cloud platform.
• A proactive developer with strong problem-solving skills, good communication, and the ability to work independently in a collaborative team environment.
