Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Fleet Operations Manager to oversee the end-to-end management of our vehicle fleet and new vehicles on boarding. The role involves ensuring optimal fleet utilization, vehicle availability, cost control, regulatory compliance, and high service standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing vehicle operations, maintenance, vendor coordination, and driver/fleet performance to support smooth and efficient business operations. Key Responsibilities Fleet Management & Operations Manage the complete lifecycle of fleet vehicles, including acquisition, deployment, utilization, maintenance, and disposal Ensure optimal fleet availability to meet business and customer demand Monitor fleet utilization, downtime, and operational efficiency Maintenance & Compliance Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance schedules Ensure vehicles comply with statutory regulations (RC, insurance, permits, fitness certificates, PUC, etc.) Maintain accurate records for audits and compliance checks Cost Control & Optimization Control operating costs related to fuel, maintenance, repairs, and vendor services Analyze fleet data to improve efficiency and reduce operational expenses Prepare budgets, forecasts, and MIS reports related to fleet performance Vendor & Stakeholder Management Coordinate with service centers, OEMs, fuel vendors, insurance providers, and spare-parts suppliers Negotiate contracts and SLAs to ensure quality and cost-effective services Liaise with internal teams such as operations, customer support, finance, and procurement Driver & Staff Management Oversee driver allocation, performance, attendance, and compliance with company policies Ensure drivers follow safety protocols, driving standards, and customer service guidelines Support training initiatives for drivers and fleet staff Technology & Reporting Use fleet management systems, GPS tracking, and telematics tools for monitoring vehicles Generate operational reports, dashboards, and performance metrics Support digital initiatives to enhance fleet visibility and control Safety & Quality Assurance Implement road safety standards and accident management procedures Investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions are taken Maintain high service quality and customer satisfaction levels Required Qualifications & Skills Education: Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Logistics, Engineering, or any related field Experience: 5+ years of experience in fleet operations, vehicle management, or transportation services Prior experience in car rental, employee transportation, logistics, or mobility services preferred Key Skills: Strong operational and analytical skills Knowledge of fleet compliance and regulatory requirements Vendor management and negotiation skills Proficiency in fleet management software and MS Excel Leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities Preferred Attributes Experience managing large vehicle fleets Understanding of GPS, telematics, and mobility platforms Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities Customer-centric mindset with strong attention to detail What We Offer Competitive salary and performance-based incentives Opportunity to work in a fast-growing mobility organization Career growth and leadership opportunities
