We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with strong experience in Linux-based servers, AWS cloud services, MySQL administration, automation, deployment processes, Server Security and load/performance handling. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring high availability, reliability, security, and scalability of our applications and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities 1. Server & Infrastructure Management Manage, configure, and maintain Linux-based servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, Amazon Linux). Monitor system performance, logs, and resource usage. Perform periodic updates, patches, and security hardening. 2. Cloud Administration (AWS) Manage and configure AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, Route53, IAM, VPC, ELB/ALB. Implement scaling and load balancing strategies. Perform cost optimization, monitoring, and alerts (CloudWatch). 3. Database Management Administer MySQL / MariaDB databases. Performance tuning, replication setup, backups, and restore procedures. Query optimization and troubleshooting. 4. CI/CD & Deployment Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / Jenkins / GitLab CI). Automate deployments for PHP, Node.js, Python, or container-based applications. Manage release cycles, rollback handling, and version control (Git). 5. Automation & Scripting Write automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Shell scripting. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform / CloudFormation (optional but preferred). Automate server provisioning and configuration management. 6. Containerization & Orchestration (Optional but Preferred) Experience with Docker and container image management. Knowledge of Kubernetes or ECS/EKS (nice to have). 7. Performance & Load Handling Implement load handling strategies using: Load balancers Auto-scaling groups Caching (Redis, Memcached) CDN optimization Conduct stress testing and performance analysis. 8. Monitoring & Logging Use monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Zabbix. Logging solutions: ELK / EFK Stack, CloudWatch logs, or similar. 9. Security Manage server and network-level security (firewalls, IAM policies). Perform vulnerability patching, SSL/TLS setup, security audits. Backup, DR (Disaster Recovery), and business continuity planning.
