Job Purpose: To ensure the safety and security of students, staff, visitors, property, and assets of the institution by maintaining discipline, monitoring campus premises, and enforcing security procedures at all times. Key Responsibilities: 1. Campus Security and Safety Maintain round-the-clock security of all institutional buildings, hostels, gates, and premises. Monitor entry and exit of staff, students, visitors, and vehicles as per institutional protocols. Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas within the campus. Conduct routine patrols of the campus, especially during night shifts and holidays. Ensure safety and security during events, examinations, and special occasions. 2. Visitor & Vehicle Management Record all visitor details in the visitor log/register and issue visitor passes. Check ID cards of employees and students before allowing entry. Manage entry and parking of vehicles and maintain the vehicle register. Ensure smooth traffic flow inside the campus and enforce parking regulations. 3. Asset & Property Protection Safeguard institutional property, including equipment, furniture, and materials. Monitor loading and unloading of goods; verify gate passes for materials entering or leaving the premises. Report any theft, damage, or irregular activity immediately to the Security Supervisor/Administrative Officer. 4. Emergency Handling Respond promptly to alarms, fire incidents, accidents, or emergencies. Assist in evacuation and first-response actions during emergencies. Maintain contact with local police, fire, or emergency services when required. 5. Discipline and Conduct Ensure students and visitors follow campus rules, dress codes, and timing regulations. Prevent and report any cases of indiscipline, disputes, or suspicious behavior. Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor at all times. 6. Documentation & Reporting Maintain daily security logs and incident reports. Submit duty reports and handover notes during shift changes. Support audit and inspection teams with required security records. Skills & Competencies Required: Strong sense of responsibility and alertness. Good communication and observation skills. Basic knowledge of security and safety protocols. Physical fitness and ability to work in rotational shifts. Integrity, discipline, and reliability. Qualification & Experience: Minimum: 10th Standard / SSLC Pass. Preference for candidates with prior experience in security, ex-servicemen, or trained guards. Working Conditions: Rotational shifts (Day / Night). May require duty on holidays, weekends, and during special events. Outdoor and long-hour duty depending on institutional needs.
