Job Title: Purchase Manager — Fire Safety Systems (Automotive Sector) Location: Vasai, Mumbai Industry: Fire Safety / Automotive Systems Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager with a strong technical background to lead procurement activities for components, assemblies, and equipment used in our fire detection and suppression systems. The role requires hands-on negotiation, supplier management, cost optimization, and coordination with quality and engineering teams. Key Responsibilities Develop, manage, and maintain supplier relationships Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and delivery schedules Evaluate supplier capability and ensure product quality compliance Issue and manage Purchase Work Sheets (PWS) and Purchase Orders (POs) Track delivery timelines and resolve supply issues proactively Support price benchmarking and costing exercises Coordinate with production, design, and quality teams Ensure accurate invoicing entries and ERP documentation Monitor inventory planning in coordination with stores and production Participate in vendor audits and support CAPA actions where required Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality Maintain procurement records and MIS reports Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred) 5–10 years of relevant experience in procurement / purchase Strong technical understanding of mechanical / industrial components Experience in automotive / engineering / fire safety sector preferred Proven negotiation and vendor management experience Knowledge of costing, quality assessment, and supplier evaluation Hands-on experience with Tally and ERP systems Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment What We Offer Opportunity to work with leading automotive OEM projects Exposure to advanced safety technologies Professional growth in a rapidly expanding organization
