Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Engineer (L2) with expertise in Fortinet firewalls and MikroTik switches and routers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing network infrastructures, ensuring seamless connectivity and security across the organization. The role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and experience handling Level 2 network support tasks. Key Responsibilities: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate) and MikroTik switches and routers. Provide L2 network support for troubleshooting LAN/WAN, VPN, and firewall issues. Implement and manage security policies, NAT, VPN, VLANs, and routing protocols. Monitor and analyze network performance, ensuring uptime and availability. Assist in network expansion, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address network requirements. Maintain network documentation, change logs, and best practices. Work on incident response, log analysis, and vulnerability mitigation. Support wireless networks, load balancing, and failover configurations. Participate in network assessments and propose optimization strategies. Required Skills & Qualifications: 4-5 years of experience in network engineering, specifically in L2 support roles. Proficiency in Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate) and MikroTik switching and routing. Strong knowledge of firewall policies, NAT, SD-WAN, VPNs (IPSec, SSL), and QoS. Hands-on experience with MikroTik RouterOS, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, and STP. Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and network security principles. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues efficiently. Experience in network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar). Knowledge of Linux-based networking is a plus. Certification in Fortinet NSE 4+ and/or MikroTik MTCNA/MTCRE preferred. Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in enterprise or service provider environments. Exposure to cloud networking.
