Role : Network Engineer Location: Bangalore Contract to Hire CXG EN - R&S PDI / Migration Required Skills (Must Have and should meet all the below standards for qualifying to this role) Experience with at least 3 product lines like Catalyst 9000/6500/4500/3850/6800/ASR1K. Engineer must be experienced in and have internal product and/or Architecture knowledge. Experience with at least one - Nexus 7K/5K/2K product lines will be an added advantage. Working knowledge and experience BGP, OSPF, ISIS, IP/MPLS, QoS, Multicast is a definite plus. Experience Implementing /Supporting Layer 2, Layer 3 implementations will be key. Hands-on experience in Installation, Configuration and troubleshooting and/or Network Solution designing of Cisco Routers and switches. Executing Migration windows and migration projects will be a plus. Must have hands-on experience of 5-7 years on Cisco (CSCO) products A good communications skill is a must. Must have a demonstrated ability to relate to customer representatives at various levels. Must have good technical writing skills and have experience in writing test and implementation / Migration plans. Skills and experience in working independently. Strong interpersonal and teamwork needed Desired Skills (Good to have as value add to this role) Knowledge with at least one competitor platform Nortel, Juniper, ALU a plus. Knowledge of Virtualization (VMware, Openstack, Tail-f) technologies is desirable. Strong hands-on experience in scripting with Tcl/Expect, Python Java and Perl is desirable. Design solutions for low to medium complex requirements on the R&S solutions Design awareness on the SDA/SDWAN solution Capability to lead design conversations and workshops with the customer and prepare high level and low-level designs Education &/ Additional Cortications Typically requires BSc Computer Science or equivalent plus 5-8 years of relevant work experience.
