Quality & Process Engineering Manager – Fiber Optic Cables Location: India (with international travel as required) Role Description The Quality & Process Engineering Manager will oversee all quality assurance and process control operations for the production of fiber optic cables. Acting as the technical bridge between our manufacturing plant and customers in the Americas, this role ensures that every product meets the highest international standards of performance, reliability, and compliance. This leader will drive continuous improvement initiatives, oversee product testing and certification, and provide technical support to both manufacturing and sales teams. Key Responsibilities Lead quality management and process control activities to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, GR-20, and IEC standards. Supervise mechanical, optical, and environmental testing across all production stages. Approve product releases and ensure all shipments meet customer and contractual requirements. Analyze manufacturing processes and implement improvements for efficiency and consistency. Collaborate with R&D and production teams on new product qualifications and certification processes. Manage investigations for nonconformance and customer complaints, ensuring clear communication and corrective actions. Support customer audits and provide technical documentation, test reports, and certification records. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Telecommunications, or related). 7+ years of experience in fiber optic cable manufacturing , testing, and quality management. Deep understanding of fiber structures, materials, and industry standards (ITU-T, IEC, GR-20). Experience implementing continuous improvement and root cause analysis processes. Excellent communication and customer-facing technical presentation skills. Fluency in English; Spanish or Portuguese is a plus. Work Environment Based near the manufacturing plant in India. Regular coordination with customers and teams in the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. Occasional travel for audits, inspections, and technical meetings.
